Before the SWY, I am offering my services to too broad a population and is not specific enough. I have since learned the importance of niching down and be more specific in my ideal client so I can serve them better.
With the 3 big why’s (selfish, altruistic & intrinsic) I am motivated to stay focus on my business & to take achievable, bite-size action to move towards my goal. I understand making a decision and committed to it is much better off than trying to seek perfection and delaying my action. The brainstorming of what I want and setting up an aligned action schedule propel me forward in my business.
I am sitting on the couch watching the news in March 2020. I must have dozed off until the financial reporter announcement woke me up that the market took a dive due to the COVID spread from China. I am in sweat as this brings back the 2008-2009 market downturn experience that I was in. I lost over 50% of my retirement portfolio and have to delay the date for my retirement. Out of necessity, I devoted years to learn about financial literacy and to rebuild my safety net and become a financial entrepreneur. I have chosen to take up financial services to help others avoid what I went through.
